Tulane University is seeking a Communications and Marketing Manager to join the division of University Communications and Marketing (UCM).
Reporting to the Asst. Vice President, Campus Engagement and Executive Communications, this role will work closely with campus and community partners to discover and promote compelling stories, programs, initiatives, events, and educational opportunities that advance equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging at the university.
This individual will develop and execute communication and content strategies that promote the university’s diverse community spanning the breadth of disciplines, backgrounds, and experiences.
This role requires a creative and strategic thinker who can collaborate with colleagues to execute across various channels, including social media, email, video, newsletters, and more.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proven experience in developing and executing communication strategies.
- Strong writing, editing, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in social media management and digital marketing tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Passion for promoting community engagement within an educational context.
- Proficient computer skills with knowledge of applications applicable to the responsibilities of the position.
Required Education and / or Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in communications, marketing, or a related field, preferably within a higher education setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or related field.
- Experience in higher education equity, diversity, and inclusion programming is preferred.
Compensation Information
