Position Overview
The Tool Crib attendant is responsible for efficiently managing tool preparation, staging, storing, tracking, and requisitioning tooling for all production equipment and jobs.
The Tool Crib attendant will be working with the Cold Heading / Thread Rolling personnel throughout the organization by maintaining the tools needed for this type of equipment.
Main Responsibilities
- Issue tools and equipment to manufacturing plant personnel while recording the issues and returns
- Perform tooling inspection upon receipt and return to ensure adequate quality prior to restocking
- File, index and update inventory tool tower / in house system and record tools received from manufacturing department
- Inspect new and repaired tools and equipment for proper operation
- Perform necessary preventive maintenance and repairs on tools and equipment
- Requisition tooling for reorder based on stock levels and future demand.
- Review production schedule for tooling preparedness
- Assist operators, team leaders, and supervisors with tool identification and replenishment.
- Maintain necessary documentation and forms related to tooling service.
- Maintain safe work practices.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Skills and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ years relevant experiencepreferred cold heading tool roomenvironment.
- Ability to read, understand and maintain records as required.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability toliftto 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand up to 8-10 hours / day.
