Responsibilities :

• Demonstrates ability to assist with breastfeeding.
• Adheres to all aspect of infant abduction policy.
• Assess neonate at delivery and perform neonatal resuscitation.
• Perform head to toe assessments on obstetrical patients.
• Initiates transitional care on the newborn.
• Demonstrates ability to circulate in the operating room.
• Manage patients in post anesthesia recovery area.
• Manage labor patients.
• Assist during epidural anesthesia.
• Maintains NPR and Fetal monitoring every 2 years.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited College of Nursing.
• ASN required. BSN preferred.
• BLS required.
• ACLS
• AWHONN Intermediate certification w / n 6 months of hire
• Fetal monitoring competency test required every two years.
• Prior experience in L&D is essential.
