Pediatric Medical Practice is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician MLT Or Credentialed MA Phlebotomist to join our team!
You will be responsible for performing point-of-care medical tests, and moderate complexity testing on blood, body fluid, tissue, and other specimens for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases.
Additional Duties will include a Quality Control program including Annual Proficiency Testing, upholding CLIA Certification documentation, ordering lab supplies, and excellent patient care.
Responsibilities :
- Collect and organize blood, tissue, and other bodily fluid samples from patients
- Prepare samples for routine testing and analysis
- Properly record results for further analysis and easy reference
- Monitor inventory samples and supplies
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Work under the supervision of a MD / Medical Director
- Maintain Quality Program
- CLIA
- Proficiency Testing
Qualifications :
- Previous experience as a clinical technician or in other related fields
- Credentialing by a Certifying Body : MLT or Registered / Certified MA
- Familiarity with common medical terminology
- Experience in a laboratory setting
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience with Point-of-Care Quality Programs
