Our client is seeking a motivated HR Assistant to join their team in Fairfield, OH on a contract opportunity with the potential to transition to full-time.
This role will primarily involve HR administrative tasks, with exposure to core HR functions, providing Human Resources support to Distribution Center employees.
Key Responsibilities :
- Handle confidential information and perform complex administrative tasks.
- Support and maintain various HR programs, including new hire onboarding, benefits orientation, and workers' compensation claims.
- Prepare and compile information for various HR reports.
- Maintain accurate employee and company records.
- Provide confidential administrative support to HR leadership and other departments.
- Interact with both internal and external customers, delivering excellent service.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience :
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar administrative role, working with internal and external customers, preferably within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- 2 years of experience in Human Resources with a strong understanding of HR-related terminology and practices.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills, capable of working independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and deliver results in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Demonstrated discretion and knowledge of company policies and employment regulations.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
