Location : Grayslake, IL

Schedule : Monday Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. 5 : 00 p.m. (Flexible)

Position Type : Temp-to-Hire, Full-Time, Onsite

Salary : $60,000 - $70,000 annually, based on experience

What You'll Do :

• Develop and execute innovative purchasing strategies that enhance procurement efficiency and streamline operations.
• Source essential materials while meticulously maintaining accuracy in part data within Epicor.
• Manage the entire purchasing process from creating and reconciling purchase orders to ensuring timely delivery.
• Research and evaluate suppliers to meet high quality, price, and reliability standards, ensuring long-term partnerships.
• Analyze quotations, negotiate pricing, and secure favorable delivery terms.
• Implement inventory control strategies to forecast demand and manage material availability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, fostering trust and collaboration.
• Monitor inventory levels, address supply needs, and ensure smooth operations.
• Track key performance metrics to reduce costs and enhance overall effectiveness continuously.
• Tackle complex purchasing challenges with confidence, collaborating with Accounting and Receiving departments.

What We’re Looking For :

• 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, purchasing, and inventory control, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record in strategic procurement across various spending categories.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills with an ability to build lasting business relationships.
• Exceptional decision-making abilities and problem-solving skills, ensuring efficient resolution of procurement issues.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills to work seamlessly across departments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with EPICOR and advanced Excel skills being highly preferred.
• Detail-oriented and knowledgeable about products and services, allowing you to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to conduct independent research.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
