Maxar is seeking a Custodian to provide cleaning services for our office located in Ypsilanti, MI. This is a position that will interact with all employees and work closely with other custodial team members.

Responsibilities :

• Vacuum, dust and wet mop floors, stairs and stair risers.
• Empty and sanitize receptacles following all safety guidelines for handling of waste.
• Clean mirrors, interior glass, and entrance way glass.
• Clean and restock restrooms.
• Clean showers in fitness center.
• Dust stairway hand rails.
• Move and arrange furnishings within rooms for cleaning purposes.
• Fill soap dispensers.
• Move cleaning equipment and supplies between floors.
• Report items in need of repair to facilities maintenance tech and / or manager.
• Clean elevators and tracks including polishing the stainless
• High dust vertical and horizontal surfaces.
• Maintain an inventory of supplies according to instructions.
• Perform all duties in a safe and conscientious manner.
• Report all work related accidents or illnesses immediately.
• Interact in a responsible manner with Supervisors, co-workers and clients.
• Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements :

• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Requires at least a GED or High School diploma.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience

Preferred Requirements :

• Must be able to work in a team environment, effectively communicating with co-workers, supervisors, customers, and facility managers.
• Must be able to follow instructions.
