The Head Swim Counselor should have experience teaching and organizing swim programs for children of all ages and abilities, and would definitely benefit from having worked, and become familiar with our organization through previous employment.
It is the responsibility of the head swim counselor to oversee the entire swimming program, plan the swimming curriculum, supervise staff, and assist in managing and maintaining the pool site.
The head swim counselor is also required to complete written evaluations of staff and campers and may be asked to accompany and supervise campers on bus routes as needed.
Roughing It will reimburse the cost of ARC Lifeguard Training and may have available training classes before the start of summer.
Prerequisites :
- Minimum age 21
- ARC Lifeguard Certification (Roughing It will reimburse and may have course available)
- Attend Administrative & Staff Training
- Experience working with children
- WSI Certification recommended
