Job Description Summary

Inmar’s Sr. HR Business Partner is responsible for all aspects of HR functions for an assigned warehouse distribution center.

As the face of HR for their location, the Sr. HR Business Partner must show strong initiative, independent thinking, ability to coach and mentor associates, and build trust and credibility with the leaders they support, as well as the people they serve.

Job DescriptionStrategic (40%)

  • Provide day to day strategic performance management guidance and partnership to operational or line leaders.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
  • Provide associate relations support to all associates and leaders on-site.
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Partner with warehouse operations leaders to develop, maintain and adjust (as needed) the development of an ongoing talent strategy.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand the skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Partner with other teams to recommend, plan and facilitate leadership development training.
  • Provide coaching and support in response to manager and associate requests for assistance in dealing with performance, conduct, and dependability concerns.
  • Assess turnover results and make recommendations on how to improve retention.
  • Support the company culture, initiate and support culture-based activities.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

Operational (40%)

  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, assessments and investigations.
  • Facilitate and manage a successful onsite interview process.
  • Monitor background checks and employee eligibility verifications; facilitate new hire orientation and compliance training.
  • Facilitate the annual benefits open enrollment process and ensure 100% of associates are enrolled by the communicated due date.
  • Conduct stay and exit interviews.
  • Submit and manage workers’ compensation claims for the facilities they support.
  • Respond to employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, supervisors, and managers, referring complex and / or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

Analytical (20%)

  • Maintain and report metrics as related to area of responsibility on the following areas : Exit interviews, stay interviews, associate engagement, headcount, retention, turnover, accident frequency rating, workers’ compensation, etc.
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments, including safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Ability to assist finance with budget planning and forecasting for staffing / labor force at assigned location.

Required Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • A minimum of 6+ years of human resource experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the major responsibilities / essential functions of the position.
  • Must have Bilingual English / Spanish verbal and written language skills.
  • SHRM CP or SCP certification required.
  • Intermediate computer skills in MS Office and Google suite.
  • Familiarity with Workday or another relevant HRIS tool.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities including day-to-day tasks and ongoing projects.
  • Innovates by looking for and implementing new ways to do HR practices.
  • A high degree of familiarity with employment law as well as a variety of human resources concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Experience or a background in operations management in a production environment is beneficial.
  • Must live in or close to the city where said distribution center is located.
