We are seeking an HR Business Partner to work at our office in Spring Grove, IL. As an HR Business Partner, you will play a crucial role in aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units.
You will act as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues and serve as an employee champion and change agent.
Your responsibilities will include assessing and anticipating HR-related needs, developing integrated solutions, and formulating partnerships across the company to deliver value-added service that reflects the business objectives of the organization.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Partner with assigned work units / areas to provide a wide range of human resource services, including recruitment, employee development, employee relations, compensation & benefits, workforce planning, reward and recognition, and performance management.
Collaborate with department leadership to assess workforce needs and develop strategies and action plans to address them.
Consult with managers on human resource issues, acting as their primary HR contact. Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
Review job descriptions and make recommendations as needed. Attend business unit / department meetings as necessary.
Provide consultation to employees on human resource issues, including benefits, policies, and procedures. Assist in resolving issues and ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
Escalate employee issues to the appropriate management team when necessary. Conduct surveys and build relationships with business leaders and employees.
Screen and interview applicants to recommend top candidates to managers. Develop strategic action plans for recruitment activities and identify and recruit diverse candidates.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with outside resources to enhance recruitment efforts.
Assist in delivering new hire onboarding orientation. Complete process flows for partners in areas of recruitment and ensure compliance with licensure and education requirements.
Audit and follow-up on mandatory education and certifications.
Conduct thorough investigations regarding complaints / allegations, prepare accurate documentation, and recommend appropriate action.
Provide coaching and mentoring to optimize performance management. Represent the company at unemployment and EEOC hearings.
Assist in coordinating with legal counsel. Contribute to and complete special projects. Maintain an active role in the HR community.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned based on organizational needs, skill set, and interest.
Qualifications :
Education & Experience :
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years HR experience required.
- Masters degree preferred.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
Certification in one of the following is preferred :
- SHRM Certified Professionals (SHRM-CP)
- SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP)
- Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from HR Certification Institute
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from HR Certification Institute
