Then come work for us! The Woodstock Opera House is looking for an energetic individual to join our team in the pivotal role of Part-Time Hospitality Assistant .
Who Are We Looking For?
The Hospitality Assistant is responsible for assisting the Hospitality Manager at the Woodstock Opera House and / or Stage Left Cafe with ensuring seamless service in concessions, catering, hospitality, and event coordination.
Additional duties include customer service, customer relations, inventory management, and other related service duties. The work is performed under the direction of the Hospitality Manager.
Schedule
The schedule can vary each week. However, an example of a schedule might look like : Wednesday, 9 : 00am - 3 : 00pm (6 hours), Thursday 9 : 00am - 3 : 00pm (6 hours), Friday night 5 : 00pm - 11 : 00pm (6 hours) and Saturday night 5 : 00pm - 11 : 00pm (6 hours).
This example would be a 24-Hour work week. As a part-time position, the individual may work up to 28 hours per week.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- High school diploma / equivalent with previous customer service work experience which includes cash handling.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must obtain BASSET / Servsafe certification within 30 days from date of hire.
- Two (2) years of lead experience in the food service, bar, restaurant, catering, or hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in Spanish.
- BASSET / ServSafe Food Handler Certification.
- Previous supervisory experience.
Any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities for essential functions may be considered.

Salary & Benefits
The position is a part-time hourly position that will work no more than 28 hours per week on average. The pay rate is $18.
00 per hour plus tips. Half of the hours the Hospitality Assistant will work will be behind the bar in a tipped position.
The Hospitality Assistant can make anywhere from $25 to $45 per hour during those shifts.
Benefits include an IMRF pension, choice of two (2) optional employee paid vision insurance plans, and 30 hours of personal time each January 1st - prorated based on start date.
