JOBRESPONSIBILITIES :
Project Manager :
- During project oversight ensures that all LDIsafety policies and OSHA regulations are met.
- Ensures accurate bid preparation and manages all majoraspects of the paperwork process.
- Adheres toproject budget; monitors tracks and facilitates billing andcollection of Extra Work.
- Participates insales and marketing functions that are part of the annual businessplan.
- Works independently and in associationwith marketing staff to identify and develop client prospectscapture and maintain client relationships and develop prospectsinto clients.
- Acts as point person forassigned client portfolios; nurtures client relationship throughpersonal contact and participation of social events.
- Negotiates subcontract work favorably monitors job costreports regularly and actively manages projects ensuring ontime andunderbudget completion.
- Crosssells goods andservices for all other divisions and locations wheneverpossible.
- Facilitates the sale andinstallation of landscape construction work.
- Ensures proper documentation is used and archived forhistorical data and potential liability issues.
Management&Leadership :
- Adheresto and embraces LDIs company doctrine values and missionstatement.
- Models the principles outlined inthe Don Mario book and demonstrates high and consistent levels ofemotional intelligence.
- Monitors and holds allsubordinates accountable for their responsibilitys performancelevels.
- Trains new project staff employees onproper LDI policies and procedures company culture and properproject management practices.
- Trains mentorsand coaches the Project Assistant and Associate staff.
Safety &Quality :
- Trains andevaluates project assistants and associates that area assigned totheir team and mentor field staff in their duties andresponsibilities relative to safety and quality.
- Implements and exceeds current company policy systems andprocedures of all Field Operations Safety Quality Control andTechnical Training Programs.
Actively monitors for safetycompliance when visiting job sites.
Continually increases knowledge of industry trendstechnological changes and obtains applicablecertifications.
Skills / Abilities Abilityto :
- Ability to work aflexible schedule including weekends holidays and evenings asrequired.
- Proficiency in Mac OS MicrosoftOffice applications.
- Ability to establish andmaintain effective working relationships with supervisors and otheremployees.
- Broad practical knowledge ofirrigation systems hardscape and plant identification. Knowledge ofbasic plant identification.
- Strong skills inareas of sales negotiation teambuilding and emotionalintelligence.
Education / Experience / Licenses / Certifications :
- Bachelors degree in Ornamental HorticultureLandscape Architecture Construction Management or relatedfield
- 3 Years of landscape managementexperience
- Valid Drivers License
Work Environment / PhysicalRequirements
- Primarily work in office environment
- Occasional work in the field near direct automotivetraffic construction equipment in extreme weatherconditions
- Work 8 hours per day withapplicable breaks x 5 days / week (some overtime / weekend workrequired)
- Ability to stand / walk for extendedperiods of time
- Ability to lift and carry 40lbs.
