Our client, the leader in the SaaS Identity space has an outstanding Engineer, Competitive Intelligence opportunity to join their dynamic team.

This is a fully remote role.

Our client is seeking an Engineer to join our Competitive Intelligence (CI) team. The Competitive Intelligence Engineer is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and presenting detailed competitive intelligence on technology products, services, and market trends.

This role requires a deep understanding of the technical aspects of products, the ability to evaluate and compare competitive offerings, and the skills to communicate findings to stakeholders across the organization to inform strategic decisions.

Contract Duration : 4-Months

Required Skills & Experience

  • Decent understanding in customer and workforce identity space. Awareness of key players.
  • Strong market research, quantitative, and analytical skills.
  • Experience in delivering technical workshops or content to technical sales audiences, including to Sales / GTM leadership.
  • Experience working with REST APIs and SDKs
  • Experience in SaaS software within the Identity and / or Security industries
  • Experience building web applications, incorporating both front and backend languages / frameworks
  • Experience with at one or more authentication or authorization protocol (OAuth, OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, LDAP)
  • Understanding of core security concerns within a typical application (password hashing, SSL / TLS, encryption at rest, XSS, XSRF)

What You Will Be Doing

Daily Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of our client’s Identity product portfolio and competitor landscape.
  • Conduct comprehensive primary and secondary research, analyze relevant data, and synthesize information to create actionable competitive insights.
  • Maintain resources such as competitive battlecards, playbooks, SWOT analysis, etc., and transform these competitive insights into useful tools for field enablement.
