A Social Media Specialist has to ensure that the company gets good coverage in the online social medium. The duties and responsibilities of this job consist of the following features.

  • Extremely creative in creating static and video content that attracts customers to our products and promotes engagement on our platforms.
  • Evaluating the customer base and creating a social media marketing strategy in order to gain publicity for the company
  • Continuously evaluating the changing trends and applying new strategies according to the changes, especially as it pertains to social media platform behavior and policy.
  • Always developing new and innovative marketing ideas that will interest people, who are in the social circles
  • Must have an understanding of great customer service in order to engage with customers through various social platforms including, but not restricted to FB, IG, Twitter, and Yelp
  • Solid experience with building paid digital ads while understanding geo and demographic targeting on Meta and Google.
  • Hold strategic discussion with the management of the company to bring them up to date with the social media marketing of the company.
  • Must know how to target, reach, and book relevant influencers on a regular basis.
  • Must be willing to be in front of the camera. The social media person is expected to be the voice and face of social media.

Required Skills and Abilities-

Create relevant content to reach the company’s ideal customers.

Monitor, listen and respond to users in a Social way while cultivating leads and sales.

Develop and expand community and / or blogger outreach efforts.

Maintain the brand look of all platforms (ie : Facebook, profile pic, thumbnails, ads, landing pages, Twitter, and blog).

Design, create and manage promotions and Social ad campaigns.

Research, target, and book relevant influencers who can effectively promote products or the brand.

Compile reports for management showing results (ROI)

Willingness to travel. Primarily for store visits to create content, participate in Grand Openings, and other duties and events as needed.

Must be able to lift / carry upward of 25 lb objects.

Job Duties-

Become the Brand Ambassador for the Company in Social Media spaces.

Engage in dialogues and answer questions where appropriate.

Must have a willingness to be in front of the camera to create content (ie Reels, IGTV, YouTube or vlogs) that educates or promotes a product, campaign, the brand or our industry.

Demonstrate ability to map out marketing strategy and then execute that strategy.

Research, target, and book relevant influencers who can effectively promote products or the brand.

Develop a strategy and implement a proactive process for capturing customer online reviews. Monitor online ratings and respond accordingly.

Monitor trends in Social Media applications, channels, tools, design and strategy.

Identify threats and opportunities in user generated content surrounding the business. Report notable threats to appropriate management.

Analyze campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising the Social Media campaigns.

Monitor effective benchmarks (best practices) for measuring the impact of Social Media campaigns. Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns to maximize results.

Evaluate and update the 85 site and all social media outlets to maintain brand fidelity, content quality, and program reach.

This position requires general office work with light physical duty, work indoors and are protected from weather and / or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes.

The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and may lift and / or move up to 10 pounds, with occasional standing and walking.
