KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Provide technical support for hot rolling operations to resolve multi-discipline problems.
- Maintain and improve standard procedures.
- Train the operators.
- Reduce variation of key process indicators.
- Lead the Continuous Improvement Team(s).
- Benchmark the existing and evaluate new technologies, processes, materials.
- Build technical capabilities, necessary to execute Vallourec Star strategy by identifying and presenting Capital Expenditure Projects.
Leading CapEx projects.
Coordinate Project activities with Vallourec R&D centers, external research organizations and Universities.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND CERTIFICATIONS :
- educational requirement is BS or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering / Material Science.
- years of steel industry experience is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing within the organization, both vertically and horizontally.
- Project management skills for process improvement and / or product development.
- Strong decision making skills based on analytical approach to problem solving, including application of statistical techniques.
- Ability to work independently and execute objectives in a cross-functional team environment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills for potential carrier growth opportunities.
- Requires excellent team building skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to read, analyze and understand technical subjects such as technical specifications, technical procedures, process descriptions, etc.
