The historic Fulton Theatre, built in 1852, is a professional regional theatre company housed in a National Historic Landmark building located in downtown Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
The Fulton’s mission is to create and produce exceptional theatre that moves the collective soul of our community and honors our national historic landmark.
Since its inception, some of the brightest stars of theatre, music and film have appeared on its stage, including Sarah Bernhardt, Mark Twain, Lionel Barrymore, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, W.
C. Fields, George M. Cohan, Treat Williams and Lancaster’s own Jonathan Groff. Today, under the leadership of Executive Artistic Producer Marc Robin, the Fulton Theatre produces a mix of comedies, dramas and musicals, employing the talents of professional directors, designers, playwrights from across the country.
The Fulton also offers classes for children, teens and adults as well as numerous community engagement programs across the region.
Job Summary
The Group Sales Manager will manage all group sales accounts, prepare and implement sales plans for all new business and manage contracts associated with the accounts.
Requirements :
Education and Experience
- 3-5 years of Sales and Customer Service Experience
- Tessitura or a similar CRM system experience preferred
- Computer proficiency; experience with Microsoft Office and G-Suite
- Previous experience and connections to the tourism industry preferred
- Knowledge and / or interest in the performing arts or fine art

Primary Job Duties
Develop and maintain professional relationships with the tourism industry of Lancaster, Pennsylvania and nationally; including American Bus Association, Pennsylvania Bus Association and others;
Point of contact with Tour Operators and Group Leaders.
- Research and evaluate potential clients through networking and prospecting to increase business and revenue for the organization.
- Maintain existing client base.
- Utilizes ticketing system to fulfill orders, manage seat allocations and distribution of group tickets, generate invoices, etc.
- Maintain knowledge on industry trends and opportunities.
- Work with the Associate Director of Marketing for sales initiatives on different mediums; the internet, print, electronic media and promotional items.
- Represent the organization at trade shows and events.
- Meet or exceed goals for new and returning group sales contracts.
- Greet motor coaches upon arrival to theatre.
- Educate the customer about events, subscriptions and services in order to provide the best possible entertainment solution.
- Address customers enthusiastically, politely and professionally; answer all inquiries with thorough and accurately.
- Follows established 11 Steps to Complete a Reservation ; cross sells Fulton Theatre subscriptions, shows and products; uses approved scripted responses when answering questions and providing information and has thorough knowledge of the Fulton Theatre’s location, facilities, events and policies.
- Perform all duties relating to the ticket purchasing process, including ticket exchanges, as needed, in support of the Guest Services team.
- Professionally conduct cash, check and credit card transactions.
- Ability to work days, evenings and weekends.
- Understands and adheres to the Guest Services and Fulton Theatre’s policies and procedures.
