Volt is immediately hiring DevOps Software Engineer / Senior Java Software Engineer in State College, PA or Dulles, VA.
As DevOps Software Engineer / Senior Java Software Engineer you will :
The Senior Java Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain advanced software applications for our Satellite Ground Systems.
This role involves close collaboration with systems engineers, hardware designers, and other software engineers to deliver reliable and high-performance software solutions.
Design, implement, and test Java-based applications and software components for satellite ground systems.
Perform system administration
Working with DevOps and CI / CD Pipelines
Working with Jenkins, Python, Groovy, Gradle
Working with previously written code and make modifications as necessary.
This is a 12 Month full time Contract opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have :
Clearance Required : Active TS / SCI
Technical Skills / Experience Required :
Four (4) years of experience in object-oriented software design and development using Java in a Linux environment and using unit testing tools (e.g., JUnit).
Familiarity with Git and Atlassian Tool suite.
Linux System Administration and Troubleshooting.
Knowledge of deploying and troubleshooting containerized workload using Rancher, Kubernetes, Docker.
Deploying services using CI / CD pipelines using technologies such as Jenkins, Kubernetes and Ansible.
Experience with Nexus or similar artifact repository in air gapped environments.
Education Requirements :
Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
Pay Rate : $85.00 - $93.00 per hour
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
