Salary Range : $68,000 to $78,000 annually
Job Summary :
Serves as assistant to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), relieving him of administrative and clerical detail, using ability and initiative to act in his absence.
Daily interaction with the CEOs direct reports, and other GWVSB leadership required. Performs all administrative, as well as clerical and secretarial functions for the executive office.
Serves as initial Goodwill ambassador / spokesperson to VIP visitors promoting the organizations mission, purpose, services, programs and brand.
Please note that this position has a 180 day introductory period.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Assists the CEO in the achievement of the organizations key strategic objectives.
- Serves as the organizations initial Goodwill ambassador / spokesperson to VIP visitors providing tours and information promoting and communicating the organizations mission, purpose, services, programs and brand in the communities served by GWVSB.
- Assists and / or represents CEO on assigned projects or functions both inside and outside organization.
- Coordinates and schedules Breakfast with our CEO, arranges for food, transportation, etc.
- Plans and coordinates monthly Board Meetings, to include catered food.
- Creates documents for the Board Meetings to include : the agenda, reports, meeting notifications, minutes.
- Prepares and disseminates information to Board of Directors, Committee members and Executive Staff members.
- Attends meetings of the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Board Committees and Executive Staff meetings. Prepares and maintains minutes of same.
- Creates the annual report.
- Ensures departments compliance with all GWVSB policies, Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) standards, and safety and security regulations.
- Prepares correspondence, reports and proposals for CEO.
- Maintains agencys Master Vendor List.
- Proofreads and edits all agency internal and external publications.
- Coordinates travel for CEO, and Executives to include air, hotel, and rental car.
- Assists with GII and California Council meetings.
- Performs other related duties as assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team, and / or mission.

Required Experience :
- The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and or abilities required for the position. Individuals must be able to pass a criminal background.
- Individuals must have a valid drivers license, liability insurance, insurability under the agency insurance carrier, dependable vehicle and a clean driving record.
- Bachelors degree and comparable work experience in providing executive level administrative support.
- Valid driver license and insured / reliable vehicle.
- Background check.
