The Large Format Print Technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining large format printers and related equipment, producing high-quality printed materials, and ensuring that all printing processes are completed accurately and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with large format printers, a keen eye for detail, and excellent troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities :

• Operate large format printers and related equipment, including prepress setup, color calibration, and print production.
• Collaborate with clients, graphic designers, and other team members to understand project requirements and ensure that all printing jobs are completed to the highest quality standards and within established deadlines.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues with printers and related equipment, including diagnosing and resolving technical problems to minimize downtime.
• Maintain inventory of printing supplies, such as inks, substrates, and media, and replenish as needed.
• Ensure that all printed materials are properly finished, including cutting, trimming, and laminating, as required.
• Monitor and maintain print quality by performing regular color calibration and print testing.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest printing technologies, trends, and industry best practices to provide recommendations for process improvement and cost-effective solutions.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Provide excellent customer service and support to clients, addressing any concerns or issues related to printing jobs.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in printing or graphic arts is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating large format printers, preferably in a professional printing environment.
• Proficient in operating RIP software such as Onyx or Caldera.
• Proficient in operating within the Adobe Creative Suite,
• Strong understanding of color management, image resolution, and file formats for large format printing.
• Knowledge of various printing materials, substrates, inks, and finishing techniques.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to large format printers and related equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality printed materials.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety protocols related to printing operations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.

The pay range for this role is :
