Position Overview
Navistar is looking for a technician with diesel or electrical vehicle experience to be a Validation Associate Lead. As a Validation Associate Lead you will work as part of the Validation team to assist in the creation and validation of tools, service procedures and service campaigns, creating accurate estimates of times necessary to complete repairs, and to do other mechanical / technical work as needed.
The facility is well lit, clean, climate-controlled, including A / C and heat, and all required tools, equipment, and uniforms are provided by Navistar.
Responsibilities Perform service procedures on trucks and buses, according to written instructions. Provide written and verbal feedback about provided documents and tools.
Document time spent using provided computer equipment and systems. Performs evaluation of new service tools using established procedures and using tool instructions;
documents required changes. Use a variety of standard shop / dealership equipment including hand tools, heavy truck tools, lifts, hoists, cranes, chargers, HVAC machinery, diagnostic equipment such as multimeters and electronic service tools, to complete assigned technical tasks.
Become trained on and safely operate a forklift as needed. Perform light mechanical / maintenance work under direction of experienced coworkers.
Perform or assist with light facilities work when needed. Must be capable of working on familiar tasks without close supervision.
Must be capable of working with and getting along with others in a team-oriented environment. Must be responsible, reliable, and safety oriented.
Assist other teams with light physical work when needed. Minimum Requirements Associate’s degree At least 3 years of experience validating vehicle and equipment service procedures OR At least 5 years of experience validating vehicle and equipment service procedures Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
