Title of Position : Medical Assistant
Position Summary :
A Medical Assistant graduated from an approved, accredited program, or significant training on the job, should have received such training and instruction that will have prepared him / her to execute the clinical and administrative duties required within the Office setting by the physician / employer.
These services are performed in accordance with the Physicians orders and under the direct supervision of the attending physician.
Responsibilities :
- Recording patient information; Perform proper patient history, proper subjective and objective documentation and record vital signs, height, and weight
- Measuring and recording vital signs;
- Helping with examinations;
- Perform routine diagnostic laboratory procedures and use equipment necessary for Venipuncture and skin Puncture appropriate to specimen needed.
- Collection of specimens and basic exams ordered by Physician
- Scheduling appointments;
- Preparing samples;
- Assisting patients in filling out paperwork;
- Performing administrative tasks, such as scheduling and billing;
- Updating medical records.
- Proper phone technique
- Prepare patient and room for examination : sanitize, disinfect and sterilize equipment and instruments
Qualifications :
- High school diploma.
- Certified Medical Assistant certification preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Bilingual English / Spanish
