Job Description
The Office Manager works with Pastor and staff on communications materials for the parish, facility scheduling and coordinating events.
As well as oversees the database coordinator and administrative assistants.
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communications Specialist - Website - Email - Print
- Manages website, Email blasts, Printed parish materials - Generates and revises web pages as needed, examines and analyzes site traffic.
Syncs the weekly church bulletin to website. Manages email communication with parishioners, creating and editing content as needed.
Designs and creates printed material with staff and parishioners including, brochures, booklets, forms, and handouts.
o Weekly Bulletin...Assures weekly creation, production, and manages bulletin stuffers.
Facilities Scheduling...Maintains facility schedules. Ensures timely scheduling, troubleshoots and negotiates conflicts.
Directs groups on facility use responsibilities, rental fees, insurance issues, or damage issues. Coordinates the distribution / collection and monitoring of facility keys. Orders keys as necessary.
- Supervises administrative staff...providing guidance and training.
- Coordinates Events
- Parish Life Celebration, Volunteer Appreciation and Celebration of Marriage reception
- Assist and support PAA with the annual campaigns
- Stewardship of Time, Talent, Treasure
- Annual Catholic Appeal
- Other duties as assigned.
Requires : Experience in data base management, website & newsletter content creation, communications expertise, ability to adapt and seek training as needed, willingness to work as part of the parish staff team to accomplish the mission of the parish, active membership in a Roman Catholic parish community.
Preferred : knowledge and experience with Parish Staq Church Management System (database) and Constant Contact.
