Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Principal Environmental Engineer to join our team!

In this role, you will work as part of a team of experts, supporting various environmental projects, that includes soil, sediment and groundwater remediation, from initial investigations through construction and site closeouts.

What you'll be doing :

  • Technically focused role, providing leadership on geotechnical, civil and other complex environmental projects
  • May function as discipline Project Engineer on medium to large projects, assuming responsibility for the work of the group
  • May plan, direct, and supervise the work of a major engineering unit on projects requiring a largescale expenditure of manpower and financial investment
  • Leads other Engineers and design personnel on environmental projects
  • Ensures compliance of design with all applicable codes and regulations, providing the seal and signature of the professional engineer when required by statute or contract.
  • Has experience with Landfill Design
  • Has construction experience
  • Prepares detailed material / equipment specifications; reviews supplier data; witnesses shop tests, assists with assessing supplier manufacturing capabilities.
  • Develops operation and maintenance plans; develops standard operating procedures; prepares O & M manuals and may conduct onsite training of personnel.
  • Conducts surveys, studies, and site investigations. Performs reliability, availability, maintenance (RAM) and safety analyses.
  • Completes geotechnical and civil evaluations
  • Maintains affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies.
  • Helps determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule. May assist with other administrative and technical duties.
  • Recommends, prepares and presents technical papers and reports. May review and assist in compiling technical reports and documents prepared by others

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 15+ years of related work experience. Master's degree in Engineering strongly preferred.

Environmental focus is required

  • Professional Engineer registration is strongly preferred.
  • Potential to perform in a lead capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a familiarity of industry practices and regulations are required
  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on project

Salary Range :
