Summary of Position
Under general supervision of the Institute for Health Policy and Practice Director, perform research and analysis in the area of chronic disease, including the interpretation of the results of research and analysis, determining the significance of the findings to the field, and participating in the dissemination of results to a variety of audiences.

Other minimum qualifications
Doctorate or equivalent professional degree in public health, health science, or related discipline, with doctoral research closely related to project work;
or Master's degree and at least three years of closely related research experience.
Knowledge of statistical programs and data analysis techniques

Experience with data visualization software and working in and presenting to multi-disciplinary groups (e.g., clinical, public health, and social service organizations)

Duty / Responsibility
Participate in the planning and implementation of analytic plans to support the Chronic Disease Health Section of the NH Department of Health and Human Services, including the participation in evaluation of Departmental programs, including collection and collation of results.
Duty / Responsibility
Participate in the design, development, and implementation of data systems and reports for data collection and dissemination, including using vital records, hospital discharge, and other data to support the program.
Duty / Responsibility
- Participate in the analysis, organization, maintenance, and evaluation of a variety of data sets, including development of statistical programming and analysis, determination of the data's significance, diagnosis and evaluation of problems with the data, and the preparation of results for publication or distribution.
- Perform data linkages of vital records, hospital discharge data, Medicaid data, and other data sets within or available to DPHS .
Develop reports of accomplishments, challenges, and future plans, in collaboration with DPHS personnel.

Consult with and establish relationships with other epidemiologists, researchers, and practitioners in project area of expertise.
Support relationships with the funders, including the Department of Health and Human Services and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and with the Division of NH Vital Records Administration, the UNH Institutional Review Board, and other project-specific stakeholder groups.
