Description : *Longview Orthopedic Associates is seeking a Full Time Physician Assistant to join our team. We are a privately owned practice of 6 physicians and 3 Nurse Practitioners.
Our practice operates in a pristine medical building which includes Orthopedic, Physical Therapy, MRI, Urology and Orthopedic owned ACS.
With three operating rooms at our ASC and thirteen operating rooms at our local hospital we perform approximately 800 total joint cases per year.
Alone our ACS performs over 1,000 Orthopedic cases annually as we are the only Orthopedic clinic within our county.*Summary of Benefits : *Longview Orthopedics covers your Medical, Dental and Vision - Long Term Disability CME.

5 weeks of PTO annually through your first 5 years of employment, it then increases every 5 years.*Job Responsibilities and Duties : *Assist in the office practice of Longview Orthopedics, where requested, to evaluate and manage all acute and chronic orthopedic conditions.
Assesses patient health by evaluating patients, performing physical examinations, developing, and implementing patient management plans.
Documents patient care in Athena OneOrders and interprets diagnostic tests including x-rays, MRI and other imaging studies.
Recommends, prescribes and monitors pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies including controlled substances as appropriate for patient specific conditions.
Performs therapeutic procedures by administering injections; suturing; managing wounds and infections.Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens, promoting wellness and health maintenance.
Prepares patients for surgery including discussion of procedure, expected recovery, risks, and alternatives.*Schedule : *Our hours are Monday Friday 8am 5pm.
