Arcosa Specialty Materials is searching for Equipment Operator for our Seattle, WA plant. In this role you will support a positive safety culture by supporting the activities and staff within a / aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards.

As an Equipment Operator, you will operate all warehouse sacking machines, support plant production and operating requirements to ensure safe, productive and efficient operation.

What You Will Do :

• Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.
• Operate all warehouse sacking machines and load supersacks off the truck scale.
• Load and unload trucks and rail cars.
• Work closely with third party trucking carriers.
• Read customer orders and complete as written.
• Operate dump truck and haul materials independently.
• Monitor and troubleshoot operating equipment
• Observe gauges, dials, and other indicators to make sure equipment is working properly
• Perform general housekeeping, preventative / routine maintenance and area inspections / audits
• Control and operate equipment such as front-end Loaders, dump trucks, forklifts, manlifts
• Perform production material lab test
• Measure product storage silos to determine inventory levels and replenish as needed
• Learn to operate limestone grinding processing plants
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Will Need :

• Prompt, regular and predictable attendance.
• Minimum of years work experience.
• Previous warehouse experience is a plus.
• Light maintenance experience and mechanical skills for elevator checks, greasing, gear box oils, bearing change-out and troubleshooting minor electrical such as resetting breakers
• Ability to use welders, plasma cutter and cutting torch
• Ability to work well with others
• Ability to operate dump trucks and forklifts is a plus.
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders and catwalks up to feet as required, and lift weights up to pounds.
• Ability to work in a varied outdoor environment (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy).
• Ability to work some weekends and evenings.
• Passing Drug & Physical Testing and Background check.
• Mine Safety Training (MSHA) will train upon hire.
• Working Conditions and physical environment : While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
