Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Control Systems Engineer to join our team in San Luis Obispo, California.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex control systems projects.

This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise , and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of control systems for various projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards and client requirements.

Oversee project planning, including budget, schedule, and resource allocation.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.

Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to define project scope and deliverables.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices.

Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure optimal performance.

Prepare and present technical documentation and reports.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering , Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in control systems engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Proficiency in PLC, SCADA, and HMI programming and configuration.

Strong understanding of process control and instrumentation.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
