Overview

As a Sales Account Manager - Automation at Waters, your responsibilities include driving sales of the award-winning Andrew+ pipetting robot and growing awareness of the Waters Automation portfolio in your assigned geography.

You will be responsible for crafting and implementing a strategic sales plan that drives growth of our automation products and services.

In addition to a consistent track record in sales, the desired candidate should be driven, dynamic, a fast learner, a passionate networker, and a solid communicator.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Penetrate key accounts in target customer accounts and applications.
  • Passionately develop new prospects and penetrate competitive accounts.
  • Proactively run the sales funnel and improve conversion to closed orders.
  • Present and sell Andrew+ pipetting robot and associated products and solutions.
  • Ensure accurate sales forecasting, and effective CRM utilization and maintenance.
  • Maintain current knowledge on vertical markets dynamics, application trends, and other critical business information.
  • Visit customers to highlight Waters solutions.
  • Provide information to marketing team to build business development programs

Qualifications

Education :

Bachelors Degree, Masters, or PhD in scientific area such as chemistry, biology, or biochemistry

Experience :

  • 3+ years in life science instrument / tools / chemistry sales
  • Technical knowledge and practical solution selling experience, ideally an understanding of liquid handling and / or automation systems within the laboratory environment

Validated ability to prospect and negotiate to successfully close sales

  • Experience in selling into the laboratory environment
  • Solid understanding of life sciences research

  • The general base pay for this position ranges from $87,000 to $116,000 per year. Pay is based on several factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
