Scope of Work
As a Clinical Nurse with Corewell Health, providing top-notch patient care is paramount. You'll be responsible for using the nursing process framework and incorporating patient-family-centered care principles to ensure the highest quality of care.
Under the direction of the Nurse Leader, you'll be a vital member of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
- Applies the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and discharge needs of patient / family / significant other.
- Applies the Core Concepts of Patient- and Family-Centered Care (PFCC) in practice and uses this knowledge to personalize care for each patient / family.
- Recognizes the impact of nursing care and patient / family partnerships on patient outcomes
- Partners with and utilizes patient / family input and goals in planning plan of care.
- Provides quality care that meets or exceeds the expectations of value (core measures, quality matrix, patient experience, fiscally responsible).
- Provides assistance to individuals in a manner that takes into account their special needs, age-related and cultural-related needs.
- Recognizes the roles of the interdisciplinary team, patient and family care partners and utilizes them appropriately as resources in planning patient care.
- Delegates appropriate tasks.

Qualifications
- Required Associate's Degree or equivalent Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an associate’s degree or from an ACEN accredited Diploma program.
- Required Bachelor's Degree B.S.N., M.S.N., DNP / PhD - if not minimum BSN prepared, new graduate / nurse with less than one (1) year experience is required to sign an educational contract upon hire to complete BSN within specified timeframe and adhere to contract stipulations.
RN must enroll in an accredited BSN program within one (1) year of licensure date and complete within the next five (5) years.
This is effective April 18, 2023.
Required Graduates from non-accredited school of nursing programs must have at least one year of acute care experience or greater than 2 years of experience in a licensed health care role, such as an LPN or EMT role, etc.
and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination.
- Registered Nurse (RN) - State of Michigan Upon Hire required
- Specialty Certification -2 Yrs required
- At least one Certification from preferred list - Upon Hire required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required Or
- At least one Certification from preferred list - Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation Upon Hire required
