Revenue Accounting Manager

Salary : $100,000 - $115,000 dependent on experience
The Revenue Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the revenue recognition process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic insights to support business decisions within this high profile technology company.
This role requires a deep understanding of GAAP, ASC 606, and the unique challenges associated with revenue recognition in the tech industry.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage the revenue recognition process, ensuring accurate and timely recording of revenue in compliance with GAAP and ASC 606.
- Review and analyze customer contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes for revenue, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with the sales, legal, and operations teams to ensure revenue-related activities are accurately captured and reported.
- Develop and maintain revenue recognition policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Prepare and present revenue reports and analyses to senior management and external auditors.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in revenue accounting, preferably in the tech industry.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606.
- Leadership experience required
