JARBO Employment Group is assisting a local Heavy Civil contractor is search of their next Project Manager in their Concrete Division.
The PM will assist the growing organization by working on projects varying from but not limited to large site developments (commercial and industrial) either as a subcontractor to a general contractor or as a prime contractor directly for a developer, to large warehouse projects, and large commercial office building sites.
Responsibilities and Duties :
- Review all contract documents, drawings, & specifications reports to determine project obligations and expectations.
- Review and understand project estimates & production models to fully understand the scope of work, focus / goals of the pre-construction team.
- Prepare cost budgets / cost controls, approve and / or prepare critical path schedules / durations.
- Host pre-construction meetings with the project team including but not limited to the project estimator, general superintendent, project foreman, & division director.
- Pre-construction meeting will consist of drawing review, production model review, site specific materials, subcontractors, etc.
and provide all project information to onsite operations group.
- Attend & participate in project meetings (pre-construction & during construction)
- Visit job sites as needed to mange daily production & onsite safety
Administrative Duties :
- Contract & Change Order review and approval
- Time and material pricing
- Review and issue RFI’s as needed
- Review, apply cost codes, and approve time sheets, material invoices, & sub-contractor invoices
- Prepare and issue monthly pay applications.
- Review job performance by monitoring material yields, labor hours and equipment utilization
- Communicate job performance and status with company management
Qualifications and skills :
- Minimum of 5 10 years of construction project management experience and / or a mixture of project management and field experience.
- 4-year degree in construction management / science / engineering preferred or directly related industry experience equivalent
- Professionalism along with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines
- Organizational skills, reliable, & honest.
- Positive attitude and able to make decisions
- Microsoft office skills are required (specifically word and excel)
