The Role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in CAMWorks and NestingWorks software, with a strong background in CNC programming and machining.

Responsibilities

• Generate CNC programs using CAMWorks software for various machining operations including milling, turning, and multi-axis machining.
• Optimize machining processes to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and minimize material waste.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and requirements for programming purposes.
• Perform toolpath simulations and verifications to ensure accuracy and reliability of CNC programs.
• Develop and maintain machining setups, tool libraries, and work instructions within CAMWorks environment.
• Utilize NestingWorks software to efficiently nest parts on raw material sheets for optimal material utilization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve programming issues, machining errors, and tooling problems as they arise.
• Continuously explore and implement best practices, process improvements, and advancements in CNC programming and machining technologies.
• Adhere to safety protocols, quality standards, and production schedules to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAMWorks and NestingWorks software.
• Strong understanding of CNC programming principles, machining techniques, and G-code programming.
• Experience with CAD / CAM software, preferably SolidWorks for CAMWorks integration. 4. Knowledge of machining materials, cutting tools, and machining strategies.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and technical specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• A degree or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field is advantageous.
