St. Louis Park, MN Direct Hire $70k - $100kKonik is partnering with a local Architectural and Engineering firm that is seeking an Architectural Specification Writer for their team.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Spec Writer. As an Architectural Specification Writer, you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining technical specifications for projects, covering Divisions 1-14 of the CSI format.
You’ll collaborate with the architectural team, manage product selections, and ensure compliance with industry standards and codes.
This role requires strong coordination across disciplines and the ability to work independently. Sound like you? Keep reading!Specification Writer Responsibilities : Write and edit project-specific technical specifications (Divisions 1-14, CSI format).
Coordinate with architects, consultants, and product vendors to ensure project quality.Review architectural shop drawings and incorporate industry standards and codes.
Maintain and update master specifications, including reviewing new products.Specification Writer Requirements : Active experience in architectural and technical specification writing.
A comprehensive understanding of architecture and the building industry.An associate or technical degree in architectural systems design or a bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
CDT (Construction Documents Technologist) accreditation from CSI is preferred.
