POSITION TITLE : MAINT. MECHANIC
REPORTS TO : MAINT. MANAGER
SHIFT : 1ST AND 2ND FULL-TIME
WE ARE A DIE CASTING COMPANY LOOKING FOR MECHANICALLY SKILLED INDIVIDUALS TO FILL OPEN SLOTS IN OUR MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT.
WITH YOUR TECHNICAL EXPERTISE, YOU'LL BE THE GO-TO PERSON FOR TROUBLESHOOTING, REPAIRING, AND MAINTAINING PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT AND OTHER FACILITY NEEDS THROUGHOUT THE PLANT.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- PERFORM PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE IN REGULARLY SCHEDULED INTERVALS
- DISMANTLES DEFECTIVE MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT AND INSTALLS NEW OR REPAIRED PARTS, FOLLOWING SPECIFICATIONS AND BLUEPRINTS, USING PRECISION MEASURING INSTRUMENTS AND HAND TOOLS.
- CLEANS AND LUBRICATES SHAFTS, BEARINGS, GEARS AND OTHER PARTS OF MACHINERY USING RAGS, BRUSHES, AND GREASE GUN.
- INSTALLS AND REPAIRS ELECTRICAL APPARATUS, SUCH AS TRANSFORMERS AND WIRING, AND ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS OF MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT.
- LAYS OUT, ASSEMBLES, INSTALLS AND MAINTAINS PIPE SYSTEMS AND RELATED HYDRAULIC AND PNEUMATIC EQUIPMENT, AND REPAIRS AND REPLACES GAUGES, VALVES, PRESSURE REGULATORS, PUMPS, CYLINDERS, AND RELATED EQUIPMENT.
- REPAIRS, AND MAINTAINS PHYSICAL STRUCTURE OF ESTABLISHMENT.
WORKING CONDITIONS :
THIS JOB OPERATES IN A FACTORY ENVIRONMENT, WITH EXPOSURE TO SHOP ELEMENTS SUCH AS HEAT, NOISE, DUST, FUMES AND ODORS. YOU WILL ALSO WORK IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO MOLTEN METAL AND POSSIBLY OPEN FLAMES.
DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE WORK YOU WILL ALSO BE SUBJECT TO EXTREME HEAT IN THE SUMMER.

- This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing during entire shift.

QUALIFICATIONS :
- HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA / GED
- 3+ YEARS MAINTENANCE EXPERIENCE IN A MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT PREFERRED
- KNOWLEDGE OF FUNDAMENTALS OF INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICAL APPLICATION, PNEUMATICS, AND HYDRAULICS.
- PLC TROUBLESHOOTING AND CONTROLS EXPERIENCE DESIRED.
- ADAPTABLE TO CHANGE AND ABILITY TO CROSS-TRAIN.
