UPMC is hiring a Full-Time, Paramedic Supervisor to support the station in York.
Hours are 6pm-6am (night shift) with occasional weekends and holidays as needed.
Ideal candidate would have experience as a Paramedic and has shown great leadership skills throughout their time as a Paramedic.
Candidate needs to have the ability to work as part of a team as well as complete tasks independently.
Candidate will be based out of York County but may need to travel other locations for meetings or trainings.

Responsibilities :
- Works with management responsible for IS and infrastructure support.
- Works with the ATS Coordinator as regards ATS call scheduling.
- Develop and recommend comprehensive communications policies and procedures to the EMS Resources Manager and Chief Flight Nurse.
- Liaison to a variety of Public Safety entities, hospitals, nursing homes and other customers as regards communications.
- Manages the human resources of the department.
- Develop and implement training programs and continuing education.
- Foster and promote professionalism within MedCom.
- Work with MTS, ATS and Starflight managers in developing efficient communications.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year EMS pre-hospital experience at the advance life support provider level preferred
- Must be able to lift, carry, push and / or pull weight up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions required.
- Must be eligible to receive medical command authorization by the Medical Director, have reliable transportation, and be willing to travel to any base site as assigned.
- Must be able to successfully complete the prescribed orientation program, including classroom.
- Must work productively and effectively within a complex environment, handle multiple / changing priorities, and specialized equipment.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances :
- North Central Pennsylvania and Central Pennsylvania allow for the Emergency Vehicle Operator (EMSVO) certification to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalent required International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) or equivalent required Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or equivalent required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) OR International Trauma Life Support OR Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Driver's License
- Emergency Vehicle Operator
- Paramedic
- Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
