Coastal Engineer
Our client is seeking a Coastal Subject Matter Expert responsible for the planning, design, and management of coastal infrastructure and protection systems.
Their primary focus is on managing the interaction between land and water along coastlines to mitigate erosion, flooding, and other coastal hazards, while also promoting sustainable development and environmental conservation.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field
- Professional engineering (PE) license or eligibility for licensure.
- Strong background in fluid mechanics, coastal processes, and coastal engineering principles.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, hydrodynamic modeling software, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience managing coastal engineering projects and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable coastal development practices.
