GENERAL FUNCTION
The Maintenance Tech provides technical support in maintaining Oakley's manufacturing equipment.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs manufacturing and test equipment.
- Develops engineering solutions to improve quality of product, increases up time and prevents similar failure modes.
- Researches new equipment; develops PM plans and spare inventory.
- Initiates, coordinates and executes projects that improve safety, quality, productivity, delivery and cost.
- Documents all repairs and work on a daily basis, understands and utilizes the information collected to identify areas for improvement.
- Performs project management, equipment installation, and develops documentation and maintenance programs.
- Works safely and maintains a safe, organized and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as needed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- A.A. or equivalent experience
- 5+ years related experience in a manufacturing environment
- Team Player; able to interface with contractors and other Oakley departments
- High degree of electro-mechanical skill
- Familiar with fluid power and pneumatics
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, or technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly
- Qualified electrically to 480 VAC
- Understanding of maintenance techniques
- Motivated, self-starter, analytical skills, interpersonal communication skills
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- Good understanding of computers
- Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
- Initiative and proactive behavior in work environment
- Ability to work more than 8-hours a day, weekends and holidays as needed
- Frequently required to walk, stand and sit
- Occasionally lift and / or move more than 100 pounds
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Fabrication skills, vacuum coating experience, welding, and machining
- Robotic experience
- Injection molding experience
- SAP or other CMMS experience
Pay Range : (($26.85)) - (($38.10))
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
