The IT Systems Engineer is responsible for effective provisioning, systems security, installation / configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure services internally and with external service providers.
This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.
This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational needs, systems security, and industry regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities (Responsibilities necessary to accomplish job functions)
- Assists with technical issues in the initiation, planning, and maintenance phases of IT projects, including those involved with integrating new acquisitions into the organization’s IT infrastructure to include :
- Support of operations staff in executing, testing, and rolling-out solutions
- Participation on projects with a focus on smoothing the transition of projects from development to production by performing operations activities within project life cycle
- Systems administration and support for information security systems and controls.
- Proficient in Microsoft Operating Systems and Applications (Windows, Windows Server, Office)
- Proficient with Active Directory & Azure / Entra
- DUO Multifactor Authentication
- SentinelOne
- Windows Server Administration (Active Directory, DNS, File, User provisioning, Printing)
- Hardware and Software provisioning (Imaging, Machine setup / build, software installation, troubleshooting)
- MS Exchange / Outlook support
- Network Security
- Network Infrastructure Administration (Firewall, IP Addressing, Monitoring, Security, Switches, Wireless)
- Storage and Disaster Recovery Knowledge
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations for this position; general understanding of HIPAA guidelines
