Trinity Grading is a Grading & Wet Utility Contractor located in Temecula, CA (currently all our work is in San Diego County).
We're looking for an experienced Earthwork & Utility Superintendent. The Superintendent is responsible for leading, through the Foreman team, to successfully complete all projects in accordance with the plans and specs, free from defects, within client schedule, within or below budget and with no accidents.
The superintendent is responsible for building work order plans, enforcing safety policies, double checking key quality standards, and building relationships.
The superintendent is responsible to proactively communicate and plan with the Project Manager and the Client. The superintendent is responsible to build the field team and make sure the right person is in the right seat.
The Field Operations Department is responsible to protect life, protect profits, to build per plans & specs and to build relationships.
Additional Key Results Areas :
Lead personnel through holding accountable, career development, coaching, teaching, training, mentoring, and reviews.
Must demand & cultivate safety culture, including adherence to applicable rules & regulations, training, & PPE.
Be accountable for the quality of the work performed on your jobs
Prepare, Communicate and Own the results for the Work Order Plan for your jobs :
Scope of Work, sequence of work, production rates, manpower, equipment, subcontractor, material, and vendor planning in accordance with Trinity Guiding Principles.
Develop JPT & AHA plans
Own the budget for your jobs through the Foremen (labor, material, and equipment). Know our contract scope of work, manage changes, and change orders through Project Managers (PM).
Consistently able to attain production rates through Foremen and Crews. Check and double check quality and accurate installation Maintain an accident-free job site through the Foreman and Crews Proactively plan your jobs and be accountable for the schedule.
- Remove obstacles for Foremen to be able to attain production rates
- Maintain 2-week look ahead manpower and equipment schedule
Effectively communicate with customer, Field Ops, PM on schedule, change orders, RFI’s, etc.
Coordinate with PM and Field Ops to refine & communicate processes and limit waste (LEAN).
- Regularly interact with client teams to understand critical path milestones and items of client importance
- Oversee Project Engineers to ensure all current Contract Documents are in hand for correct, pricing, distribution and use
- Regularly interact and collaborate with Project Superintendent and Foreman teams
- Ensure that all Project close out documentation has occurred properly and is correctly documented
