Our client, a nationwide leader in packaging solutions, has an immediate need for an experienced Production Supervisor , to join their winning team in Indianapolis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Responsible for documentation processes including shift summary sheets, product, wash sheets, recollection wash processes, quality processes and paperwork, cleaning processes and paperwork.
- Enforce safety policies and processes for all personnel within the plant.
- Ensure all PPE is being worn per company standards and ensuring AIB standards are upheld.
- Provide personnel training and enforcement of all operational functions within the facility.
- Ensure all required expectations are being met or exceeded with regard to quality, machine operation, productivity, and safety.
- Follow best practices and SOP’s concerning shift / machine operation ensuring effective. and productive performance in keeping with the highest standards expected.
- Support and assist in future duties / projects as assigned by management
- Manage all shift employees according to corporate policies.
- Maintain accurate inventory.
- Maintain production standards.
- Reduce turnover.
- Safety compliance.
- Successful implementation of SOP’s.
KEY REQUIREMENTS :
- Associate Degree preferred or High school diploma.
- 6+ years’ experience in manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years of experience as a line supervisor in manufacturing or production environment with 50+ employees
- Problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both management and subordinates.
- Ability to diffuse personnel issues and take appropriate actions while minimizing disruption of operations.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated successes in handling multiple priorities.
- Proven planning and organizational skills with the ability to handle high volume operational requirements
- Self-motivated to achieve goals.
- Detail-oriented, hard-working and a team player.
