The position of Construction Manager is a highly important role in the successful end-to-end completion of construction projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of construction projects, from initial planning to final delivery.
The Construction Manager will work closely with project managers, owners / stakeholders, and contractors to ensure the timely, safe, and cost-effective completion of all projects.
Key responsibilities include :
- Planning and scheduling construction projects
- Monitoring and supervising the progress of construction projects
- Liaising with project owners, stakeholders, and contractors
- Resolving issues that arise during the course of a project
- Ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
- Planning and implementing strategies to mitigate risk
- Compiling detailed reports and presenting them to senior management
The ideal candidate should possess :
- A degree in Construction Management, Construction Administration or a related field
- A minimum of five years' experience working as a Construction Manager
- Knowledge of construction techniques and methods
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to multitask effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in using scheduling and budgeting software
