Ready to take the next step? We will make this process easy for you! We are working exclusively and directly with the company to fill this position! Fast-paced, automotive manufacturer is seeking a Quality Systems Engineer to join their quality engineering team.
As the Quality Systems Engineer, you will report to the Quality Manager and will be responsible for the following tasks :
Ownership and responsibility of the IATF 16949 quality system and supporting the ISO 14001 system Manage the internal audit program Support layered process audits Facilitate and host customer and 3rd party audits Ensure business systems documents are accurate and adequateLead root cause analysis for quality issues related to the quality systems and implement corrective actions as needed Manage internal deviation and have oversight of document control, including recording activities Assist maintenance and EHS with compliance and document management of ISO 14001Create and provide training to team members on quality systems Update work instructions as needed Support change management and lead strategic / forward thinking related to quality systems Identify and drive continuous improvement projects Other duties as directed by management
Candidates should be able to communicate at all levels and have exceptional organizational skills. The qualified individual will be self-motivated, abe to take ownership of projects, be able to work independently and within a team, enjoy floor presence when needed (up to 15% of their day) and be able to meet deadlines.

REQUIREMENTS for the Quality Systems Engineer - IATF 16949 :
1. Bachelor's degree in a technical field OR relevant / related work experience in lieu of a degree
2. Depending on level of education, at least 2-5 years of work experience in a similar quality systems engineering role3.
Experience supporting quality systems in an automotive supplier and / or OEM environment 4. Experience as a manager or a contributor responsible for IATF 16949 quality systems5.
Formal problem-solving and root cause analysis experience
6. Working knowledge of critical characteristics related to automotive manufacturing 7. Microsoft Office
Skills preferred but NOT required :
1. IATF Lead Auditor Certification in IATF, ISO 14001 or VDA 2. 8D and / or 5WHY problem-solving 3. Ability to read blueprints 4.
