Lakeview Village is a continuing care retirement community that also has an on-site Child Development Center. We have an opening for a Floater Teacher to work on an as-needed basis (PRN).
Pay $14 / hr and up, based on experience
Lakeview Child Development Center Teachers are responsible for upholding the Lakeview Village Child Development Center's (CDC) educational philosophies and goals by forming appropriate relationships with staff and families, providing guidance for the children, and providing overall management to the assigned classroom.

Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications & skills :
- Must be of at least 18 years of age, in accordance with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE).
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Demonstrates good communications skills, including but not limited to effective reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills, with fluent understanding of English.
- Must have experience teaching in an early childhood setting.
- Must have completed a minimum of 12 college hours of early childhood coursework; an Associates' Degree in Early Childhood Education, CDA, or Bachelors of Arts in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
- Must display a full understanding and effective application of developmentally appropriate classroom management skills for an Early Childhood setting.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification is required within 30 days of hire date.
- Must have a full understanding and effective application of State licensing regulations for a childcare setting.
- Must have certification of attendance in classes for Child Abuse and Neglect, Signs and Symptoms of Illness within 30 days of hire date.
- Must have ABC sleep certificate within 30 days of hire date.
- Must demonstrate leadership skills and the ability to exercise sound, independent judgement where procedures cannot be standardized.
- Possesses an empathetic approach to the elderly.
- Able to work in a team setting with residents, relatives, staff, and others.
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the job.
