SENIOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE-FP&A SOLUTIONS
This Senior Business Development Executive (SBDE) role is essential for driving the growth of our business by identifying new opportunities, building and nurturing client relationships, and collaborating closely with our service teams to develop tailored solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the financial services industry and a proven track record in business development and generating new business within Governmental Agencies and Fortune 1000 companies.
Key activities :
- Serve as a sales leader responsible for hitting sales quotas and building a book of business for the subject matter expert operations team in the firm.
- Serve as the quarterback for key sales opportunities including pursuit strategies as well as tactical sales call orchestration.
- Close sales by demonstrating tangible benefit to interested buyers.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to refine and improve product offerings and GTM strategy.
- Bring in new business opportunities using methods that are most viable for identified buyers of the product offerings as appropriate.
- Work with customer support teams to upsell / cross sell newer services to existing clients.
- Build trust and likeability in the marketplace to drive direct inquiries and referrals.
- Attend local or national conferences and host community or industry events.
- Develop and nurture relationships with partners as appropriate.
Key responsibilities :
Lead Generation :
- Research and identify potential clients within the government agencies and Fortune 1000 companies using industry databases, social media, and networking events.
- Develop and implement lead generation strategies tailored to our services and target market.
Initial Contact and Qualification :
- Conduct initial discussions with prospects to assess needs and introduce our services.
- Gather and document information about potential clients to support the sales process.
Follow-Up and Relationship Building :
- Maintain regular follow-up with leads to nurture relationships and keep the company top-of-mind.
- Provide insights and updates on industry trends and relevant service offerings to prospects.
Collaboration with Subject Matter Expert Operations Teams :
Work closely with senior consultants and service delivery teams to qualify opportunities; draft the appropriate proposals;
presentations to support proposals; and to ensure a smooth transition of new clients through onboarding and after.
Support and lead consultants in preparing proposals, presentations, and client meetings.
Database and CRM Management :
- Maintain accurate records of all interactions with potential clients in the CRM system.
- Track and analyze lead status, conversion rates, and other key metrics to refine strategies.
Market Research and Insights :
- Provide market insights to inform service development and sales strategies.
- Be the voice of the customer in internal discussions to further sharpen the GTM strategy.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
Performance Tracking and Reporting :
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as lead generation, conversion rates, and pipeline growth.
- Use data-driven insights to evaluate and improve outreach and qualification processes.
Client Interaction and Representation :
- Represent the company professionally in all client interactions.
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build professional relationships.
Continuous Learning and Development :
- Participate in training programs to enhance sales, communication, and industry knowledge.
- Immerse yourself in industry best practices and innovative trends.
Achievement of Sales Targets :
Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Qualifications :
- Experience in sales or business development, preferably with Government Agencies and / or Fortune 1000 Companies as targets.
- A demonstrated history of achieving revenue objectives.
- Ability to understand and articulate complex service offerings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with subject matter expert operations team.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
