We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Independent Testing Specialist to fill an important role on the Financial Crimes (FC) Commercial Banking (CB) and Corporate Investment Banking (CIB) Testing and Validation Team within Independent Testing and Validation (IT&V).

The FC CB / CIB ITV team is responsible for the execution of financial crimes review activities and issue validations in alignment with the Risk Management Framework and according to standards and applicable policies for the following risk disciplines including BSA / AML, Sanctions, OFAC, and ABC.
This Senior Independent Testing Specialist will execute financial crimes review activities in an effective manner and communicate potential emerging risks appropriately.
They may serve in either a control script execution and / or review lead capacity, participating in review activity engagements in a matrixed environment, and communicating emerging risks to management.
In this role, you will :
- Complete review activities on schedule, raise schedule delays to the review manager, escalates any potential issues discovered during the completion of review activities to the review manager, and follow through on reporting, escalation, and resolution.
- Responsible for completing all documentation under supervision and appropriately retaining all work papers (testing schedule, templates, work-papers, deferrals, deviations, etc.)
- Lead or participate in moderate to high risk or complex review activities in a matrixed environment and communicate emerging risks to management within Independent Testing
- Contribute to large scale planning related to Independent Testing deliverables
- Review and research moderately complex potential corrective actions, and follow through on reporting, escalation, and resolution
- Ensure effective and appropriate testing, validation, and documentation of review activities for risk programs and controls according to standards and other applicable policies
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead team to meet Independent Testing deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of risk management framework and the risk and control environment
- Collaborate and consult with colleagues, internal partners, management and lines of business regarding risk management
Required Qualifications, US :
4+ years of Independent Testing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following : work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications :
- Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS)
- Knowledge of financial crimes legal and regulatory requirements (e.g. BSA / AML, Anti-Bribery, OFAC)
- Subject matter expertise in Financial Crimes US Regulations to execute critical thinking and subjective risk analysis
- Ensure effective and appropriate testing, validation, and documentation of review activities for risk programs, risks, and controls according to standards and other applicable policies within Independent Testing
- Present recommendations for resolving more complex situations and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in risk management framework and the risk and control environment
- Advanced critical thinking, analytical, and written and verbal presentation skills
- Strong analysis skills to formulate relevant conclusions for Sr. Management and Leadership
- Prior regulatory compliance testing or review experience
- Knowledge and understanding of financial services industry, compliance, and risk management
- Experience reviewing testing strategies and methodologies; evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, initiatives, products and internal controls
- Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to challenge the status quo

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location.
The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$84,000.00 - $149,400.00
