POSITION SUMMARY

Ensure machine and supporting technology tools and associated equipment operate at maximum performance and reliability. Assist the sales and service department with demonstration, product improvement, problem resolution, machine technology software and hardware sales.

Sell technology solutions to internal and external customers.

Develop marketing and product support strategies to use existing and emerging technology to make our customers more profitable with their farming operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support customers and HAS sales, parts and service departments in the troubleshooting and application of Telemetry (RTK, RTX, GPS), FUSE, Application, yield mapping and seed placement hardware and software.
  • Set and meet sales targets to increase revenue.
  • Prepare and present training both in person and virtual to individuals and groups
  • Meet with customers to address concerns and provide solutions.
  • Discover sales opportunities.
  • Present products and services to prospective customers.
  • Participate in industry or promotional events (e.g., trade shows) to cultivate customer relationships.
  • Monitor competition within assigned region.
  • Prepare and submit reports to the Sales Manager.
  • Follow a successful demonstration process that ensures the customer has a good buying experience.
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships through timely follow-up communication to strengthen customer loyalty and dealer reputation.
  • Understand and follow the company’s values and objectives when working with customers, other departments, and other stakeholder groups.
  • Continuously learn and apply new and previously earned skills, strategies, and techniques on a daily, monthly and yearly basis.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of product, market, and industry knowledge.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE

Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or five years agricultural related sales experience with heavy equipment.

SKILLS

  • Have vast knowledge of legacy and current Trimble, Top Con, Raven, Fuse and Ag Leader Agricultural products
  • Knowledge of PC applications with Microsoft Office and / or mobile sales office. Must be a self-starter with excellent time management and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have a valid driver license and a clear DMV driving record.

COMPENSATION

Pay Range : $75,000 - $90,000 Annually.

Pay Range Dependent on Knowledge, Skills, and Ability to perform the responsibilities of the job.
