CSP's Accounting & Finance practice has partnered with a rapidly growing company that specializes primarily in construction and development.

They are projected to nearly double in revenue growth for the year 2024, which has presented the need for the newly-created VP of Finance position.

Reporting directly to the CFO, the VP of Finance will be responsible for monitoring the financial health, stability, and growth of the organization.

This role requires a hands-on professional with excellent leadership skills, financial acumen, a deep understanding of the construction industry and the desire and capability to grow into the CFO role.

Responsibilities :

  • Direct the accounting, tax, and financial reporting functions of the company.
  • Manage the month-end close process, including Work in Progress schedules, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, prepare financial forecasts, variance analyses, and financial reports for executive management and stakeholders.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensure financial integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with project executives and managers to monitor project financial performance, analyze variances, and recommend corrective action as needed.
  • Support the Treasury and Cash Management functions.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • CPA, CCIFP, or other relevant professional certifications is highly desirable.
  • 5 to 10 years of proven experience as a controller or VP Finance in the construction industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction accounting principles, project costing, and contract management.
  • Expertise with construction-specific ERP systems, financial software, and MS Office applications.
  • Strong financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting skills.
