In the Department of Physical Sciences at Perimeter College, students explore the complex and fascinating worlds of chemistry, physics and other science streams.

Physical Science students build a strong foundation for further study in high-demand fields ranging from health care and medicine to engineering and computer science.

Position Description

Perimeter College is seeking part-time instructors in PHYSICS and / or ASTRONOMY who will play a key role in educating and supporting students.

Required Education

To qualify to teach PHYSICS and / or ASTRONOMY , applicants MUST have :

A minimum of a master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) in the teaching discipline.

Preferred Qualifications / Experience

Teaching experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to teach PHYSICS / ASTRONOMY courses on the collegiate level
• Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods
• Ability to relate to a diverse student population and facilitate student learning
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology

Work Hours

Classes at Perimeter College are offered morning, afternoon and evening including weekends.
