Overview
Under the direction of a radiologist, performs technical pediatric radiographic procedures without constant supervision of technical detail.
Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiographic diagnosis.
Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. Participates in department and hospital LEAN improvement activities that align with the five True North Pillars.
In addition, supports the CMH Service Excellence Program through demonstrated knowledge of CMH Shared Values, Mission and Vision, and Strategic Plan.

Responsibilities
- Performs radiographic procedures per department protocol. Able to utilize and be completely competent with fluoroscopy, C-arm, portable exams, bone density and all diagnostic equipment.
- Performs essential RIS / HIS functions. Performs and maintains LEAN practices as it relates to Patient Safety and Quality.
- Assists radiologist in all appropriate procedures.
- Maintains accurate inventory control functions. Maintains all appropriate paperwork.
- Additional responsibilities for 11 : 00 . to 7 : 30 . Technologist 5 : 30 AM Technologist (5 : 30 AM person). General Diagnostic Call Technologist.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or registry eligible ARRT and No Experience necessary / On-the-Job Training
- Registered Radiologic Technologist ARRT
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist KS
- Employees must obtain Licensed Radiologic Technologist KS or equivalent within 90 days
- Professional registration (ARRT or equivalent) Required
- BLS certification Required
- Current CEUs per ARRT requirements Required
- Current licensure as a State of Kansas Radiologic Technologist Required 90 Days

Starting Pay
Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $25.63 / hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
Remote Work / Work from Home
This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
