Role description :
Arcadis is seeking a self-starting, dynamic environmental noise specialist, with a focus on acoustic engineering. In this role, you will provide high-quality noise assessment, pre-and-post construction noise surveys, modeling noise impacts, and providing noise mitigation recommendations to Arcadis clients.

Role accountabilities :
As an Environmental Noise Specialist, you will apply your technical knowledge to support a range of acoustical technical analyses for client projects.
You will be responsible for the development of noise assessments, including background noise surveys, noise impact modeling for facilities and linear infrastructure, and noise mitigation design (conceptual) needed for compliance.
You will also be responsible for performing noise impact analyses for Environmental Assessment and Impact Statements for National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and state environmental policy programs.
Therefore, you must have a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Cadna / A noise prediction software, and effective written / verbal communication and organization / analytical skills, including experience writing detailed technical reports.
- In this role, you will work within quality / budget / schedule expectations and scope specific assignments. In addition, you will correspond and collaborate with Arcadis Air and Noise Community of Practice to ensure appropriate technical review of documents and support the expansion of our acoustical services globally.
- This role will primarily be office based; however, as needed, you will need to conduct field assignments, including participating in face-to-face client, technical, and other stakeholder meetings.
This role will require the ability to travel up to 15%.

Required Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in acoustics, engineering, environmental science or related field of study
- A minimum of 7 years experience in acoustic engineering or consulting
- Experience with Cadna / A noise prediction software
- Ability to travel and work in the field collecting data
Preferred Qualifications :
- Master of Science degree
